FIRST AID AT WORK RECERTIFICATION Level 3  - 2 Day Course


Duration: 12 hours contact time. Training is generally carried out over a three-day period, 6 contact hours per day plus breaks.
Split duration courses can be arranged. Training and assessment must be completed within a 6-week period.


Qualification: A 3 year certificate, record of achievement and certificate wallet card - on successful completion of the course.


Renew by booking a 2 DAY FAAW Recertification within the three year period.


Assessments: Ongoing assessment by the tutor, seven practical and theoretical assessments including 2 multichoice question papers.
 

Syllabus: As guided by the Health & Safety ( first aid ) Regulations 1981. Incident management; Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, control of bleeding, shock, unconscious casualty management, recovery position; casualty transport, recognition of illnesses, treatment of bones muscle and joint injuries, treatment of minor injuries, treatment of burns and scalds; poisons, simple record keeping, contents of a first aid box, purchasing of supplies, communications and reporting, delegation in an emergency and personal hygiene, HIV / HEP B.


NB Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline

and must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.

All people attending a requalification course are required to show their current first aid at work certificate  prior to booking their course.

 

When booking your 2 Day Recertification if you are not on our database please assist us by posting, scanning to email or faxing a copy of your existing first aid certificate.

  

First Aid at Work Certificates allow first aiders just 28 days grace past their certificate expiry date to renew their qualification on a 2 Day Course.
